I tried running it without ASCA (just ASP3D 7857) and it still crashes. Whatever I try in settings of ASP3D and ASCA the sim crashes in the first minute or so.
Prepar3D v5.2 Hotfix 1 (5.5) I first uninstalled old P3D client and then installed the new client. But I held the course and life with P3D v5 did get better with the release of the second hotfix. There were a few times that I believed the purchase of v5 was foolish and that most likely I would just discard it and proceed with 4.5.
Or should I say the skies were turbulent. In the early days of my P3D v5 experience the road was rocky. Once you are in Addons menu, untick DD Scenery and press OK, then close P3D sim. The app has a free mode where only OpenSkyNetwork is used to display live traffic. It requires an external folder and will show in the P3D Add-ons list as in the image below.
