There are several modes at present, though they cannot be selected for play on their own - for now you must jump into either a Large or Small Showdown Series playlist. Showdown Series The PvP modes of Red Dead Online.Stranger Missions will affect your honor ranking and thus the missions available to you in the Story. These missions take place in the free roam world, and can be interrupted by other players. Stranger Missions Much like the single-player mode, Strangers will often ask you to complete tasks for them while you're exploring the world.Land of Opportunities Red Dead Online features its own story, with divergent mission paths based on decisions you make and how honorably you behave in the world.The beta for Red Dead Online features several main activities as well as supplementary content for players. Red Dead Online left beta on May 14, 2019. Players who played the single-player component of Red Dead 2 on it's launch day of October 26th are able to join on November 28th, 2018, and the public beta will begin on Friday, November 30, 2018.
The first wave of the Red Dead Online beta released on November 27th, 2018, for players who had purchased the Ultimate Edition of the game. Red Dead Online is launching first as a Beta in November 2018 and will eventually feature a full release at a later date.
